Seeking Balance Pt14

"Now all you need to do is size the lightning." Spoke Sister Lightning. "Why
do they always make you risk your life?" Sighed Sister Wind. "Don't worry,
everything has worked out so far."" Kit smiled. "Always the optimist." Sister
Wind Replied."Better than being a pessimist." Sister Lightning's
chipper voice called

Kit laughed. "Now now you two." she said one arm back poised to launch
outward. The perfect moment came, the bold came down, Kit surged her
arm out and took the lighting in her hand. It stilled and calmed as all the
lightning gathered in front of her.

"Great job, I just needed to make sure you trusted me." came Sister
Lighting's voice as the lighting left Kit's hand and formed the shape of a
woman. She had soft gold hair and electric yellow eyes and sparks danced at
her feet. She wore a black belly shirt with electric yellow bolts decorating it
and electric yellow pants with black lighting. "Always Sister Lighting, I trust
you and all of the family. Even Dark, he just needs Light to aid him."Sister
Lighting gave a nod. "If only we realized that as fast as you did. But that is
in the past...to bad the past haunts us."

Sister Lightning lowered her head and Kit put her hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, you are working to fix your mistake instead of running from
your past. I'm sure you can work everything out, you are family." Sister
Lighting looked up with a soft smile. "Thank you Kit." She put her hand on
top of Kit's. "Your our sister too and as long as you are with us, I'm sure
things will work out." She gave Kit a hug, and they both smiled as they
parted.

"Now, show time." She had a bubbly smile on her face. "Kit you have shown
you possesses the skill of the lighting. You are fast and decisive, as well as
visual and observant. You know how to use your sight and not let your sight
use you. You sat in one place while you observed eyes constantly moving.
You found the pattern in the patternless and knew just how to catch the
lighting. That and you are a great sister. All that and more makes you
worthy of my skill."

"Now...actually you probably know the drill by now." Kit smiled. "That I do."
she said and held out her hands. Sister Lighting took her hands and an
electric yellow light ran around her and down to her arms then over to Kit.
The light moved around Kit then gathered at her head. It moved to her eyes
and gathered then left leaving behind its electric yellow mark. It was in both
eyes and on both her eyelids.

"It won't impair your vision one little bit, in fact you won't even know they
are there unless you see your reflection. It shows that you know true vision
with eyes open and closed. Congrats Kit, I would love it if you stayed but
you must move on to the Domain of Thunder. You can hear the way I'm
sure. Farewell Kit, may we reunite soon." They exchanged bows, Kit's again
lower. "Farewell." Said Kit as Sister Lighting faded back into many
sparks. "Away again...only two more lands until we reach the Domain of
Darkness".

With a nod Kit moved on. And as she did, she heard a creaking
sound. She looked back to see the dead tree rising, its trunk coming back
together. It was back to its former glory and lightning stuck it once more,
the ruble of thunder in the distance.
